The History

Albert begun his career with leather in 1972 as a artist/craftsman (hippie leather worker) producing leather bags/belts using British harness making techniques, materials and fittings, selling them at markets and country shows. Over the last 35 years the company has been involved in all aspects of the leathergoods trade. Designing, making, manufacturing, wholesaling, importing, exporting, repairing, cleaning, restoration, teaching etc. During all these years we have always had a shop in Oxford and our mission statement is the same now., as it was then … “To be recognised as the best leather shop in the world.”

Our shop is located in the centre of Oxford in the middle of a 12th century coaching inn (1193). It is a real gem. Aside from our own collection of leathergoods our shop stocks most leading brands. The Bridge, RADLEY, Tula, Hidesign, Tony Perotti, Mywalit, Omersa, Bodenschats, Fossil, Texier, Marta Ponti, Ri2K, Gianni Conti, Modalu and some you never heard of but great products, just the same.
